| During the day, the unit provides accurate colour images. At night or in poor lighting conditions, the camera switches to monochrome and becomes IR sensitive. The night mode is activated by a light sensor which senses when the light drops below a certain level. In this mode, the infra-red LEDs switch on and provide external light to illuminate the subject. Depending on surface colour and reflection, these LEDs have a range between 25 metres in little or no light. |
